I was inspired to make Crocodile Jarry when I came across the urban legend (or was it real?) that an alligator was roaming Jarry street. It was a perfect fit for my ongoing theme of the Tropicalization of Montréal: An absurd extrapolation of what the future might hold for us. I created this piece on a skateboard for an art show called Le Board Show. Note: I recognize that alligators and crocodiles are distinct species, but Alligator Jarry doesn't have the same punch.
