Antisana Seeds is a company that maintains hundreds of historic and endangered heirloom seeds. The company wanted a traditional botanical illustration style for their seed packets that maintained the scientific integrity of the plant being grown, but also showcased it's natural beauty. For most of these varieties, I grew the plants in my garden. Then I took the vegetables into my studio to capture the plant as accurately and with the most interesting composition possible.
