Turning the Table: Nathalie Cusson
A LOOK AT AMAZING WORK BY OUR PHOTOGRAPHY AND ILLUSTRATION AWARDS JUDGES
April 7, 2023
Nathalie Cusson is an award-winning multidisciplinary creative director with 20 years in the advertising and design industries, and is still going strong. She shares the inspiration that kicked-started the "Computer Case Design" for staff at Juniper Par\TBWA.
At the end of 2021, against all expectations, all employees were still working partially from home and, well, any place that could be called "the office". Understanding that we had all become digital nomads, we needed to make sure that our main tool (laptops) were safely carried around, in a stylish case. The design appearing on the sleeve is a wink at all the places we have and still call "the office" when the need arises. Because, let's face it, we can make calls, present, and have aha moments from (almost) anywhere.
The case was mailed to all employees and came in a large envelope printed with a teasing message.
Each side of the case was printed with different locations to cover as many as possible and to make the discovery more interesting. A lot of the locations were Toronto-based (JP's home) and some were pulled from pop culture, such as "The passenger seat of the Delorean" or "The Hawkins National Laboratory".
The interior was designed to be a cosy, plush fabric in shocking pink. Leaving nothing undesigned, the interior label bore a cheeky message, further personalizing the employee gift.
